10 Impressive vCard Design

Business Card vs vCard

Many have asked me for my namecard/business card. To be honest, I really don’t have time to design myself a business card. Some time ago, I came across some really nice websites. Containing only the minimal content, usually only basic information such as name, title and contact. Much like a website but only one-page design.

Recent trend shows an evolution. Still minimal, but contains slightly more information. A short write-up of services and a few pictures, some showing partial portfolios. The term “vCard” or “Virtual Card” was introduced to signify this trend and I can see how this trend will slowly take over the “offline” version of business card.

vCard is trendy, looks cool and it is FREE to distribute. Anyone with an internet enabled phone can benefit from it. What more can I say? Imagine someone attaching their “.jpg” format of business card in their email compared to someone who has a vCard attached. I would say the one with a vCard attached would be more impressive. Definitely mor

e interactive and interesting. Coupled with other FREE technology such as Skype and Google Maps, vCard seems to have won me over.

Will vCard slowly take over business card like how “snail mail” being taken over by “email”?
